The beautifully coloured mineral we have all come to love and know as Moonstone in colours from creamy white through to black is a potassium feldspar. It’s a different family group to Rainbow Moonstone that belongs to the plagioclase feldspar group. That is why is looks more dense and less sparkly in appearance. Moonstone is sometimes referred to as Hecatolite.

There is something ethereal about Moonstone in all its colours. It’s energy changes with the tides and moon phases. Every time one picks it up it has a different story to tell, a push or pull energy working on a different chakra point or body of energy.
