Jade

Jade has always been associated with wisdom and the vibration of music, Jade is used to enhance the focus in prayer and ceremony. In doing so it allows us access to knowledge like that used in the ancient rituals of the Mayan culture where Jade was so popular.

Carvings are often done in Jade and the traditional Mayan calendar was always carved from this majestic stone. Today Buddha carvings are very popular as they represent peace, as are gorgeous pale green hearts.

Healing properties of Jade include helping to balance bodily fluids, to cleanse the organs and remove toxins. Jade is a remarkable healing mineral and most definitely one for the healing medicine chest or pouch.

Jade is usually worn as jewellery kept in close contact with the body. Although many Jades from around the world can be dyed in many colours and these still retain the energy of Jade I believe the natural green Jades to be most potent.

Nephrite Jade

As well as holding all the properties of Jade, Nephrite Jade is considered a very female stone and one of fidelity and passion. It works on the heart chakra, opening and pulling in and sending out universal love- think of it like huge angel wings that extend from the middle of the back out into the universe. Jade is able to help with dysfunctional relationships enabling one to see the true essence and reality of it. It balances the metabolism and boosts confidence.

Black Jade

Black Jade is a mystery in itself as its energy is revered in many cultures to dispel negative attack. However, many believe black, green and Nephrite Jade have the power also to fight off psychic attack and malevolence. Use by placing pieces of it at all openings of the home: windows, doors, fire places, etc.

Lemon Jade

Lemon Jade balances mood swings, enhances the understanding of dreams, as is believed to be the bringer of good luck. It is valued as a blood cleanser and for disorders of the nervous system.
